Your year action plan to implement ISO 2012:2024

If you’re unsure of how to get started, you can use this simple plan which sets out a 30 minute a week action plan for 48 weeks.

 
  • Weeks 1 to 4

    Week 1
    Visit the ‘What is ISO 20121:2024’ area on the interactive platform (you will find the details of how to access this in your welcome email)

    Focus on exploring the resources for 30 mins and write down any questions you have (in a place where you can find these questions next week)

    Week 2

    Visit the main course page and read the agenda for the workshop 1

    Write down any questions you have about the terms used

    Write down any items you think your company might already have, e.g. a list of your stakeholders, make a note of that so you can start to see what parts of the agenda you already have and can bring this to your first workshop.

    Week 3

    Revisit the ‘What is ISO 20121:2024?’ interactive platform.

    Now you have questions, so look to see if you can find the answer.

    Even if you don’t find the answer take 30 mins to read something new because you are building your ISO 20121:2024 understanding

    Week 4

    Visit the main course page and download the script for workshop one.

    Read the script and highlight areas that cause questions and areas where you think your company has already done this.

  • Week 5 to 8

    Visit the main course page area and read the agenda for workshop 2

    Write down any questions you have about the terms used and write down any items you think your company might already have, e.g. in workshop 2 agenda it says Mission Statement

    If you already have a Mission Statement, make a note of that so you can start to see what parts of the agenda you already have and can bring this to the second workshop

    Week 6

    Visit the main course page and download the script for workshop two. Read the script and highlight areas that cause questions and areas where you think your company has already done this.

    Week 7

    Revisit the ‘What is ISO 20121:2024?’ interactive platform. Now you have questions, so look to see if you can find the answer.

    Even if you don’t find the answer take 30 mins to read something new because you are building your ISO 20121:2024 understanding.

    Week 8

    Repeat what you did in weeks 4-5 for workshop 3

    Now you have read 100 % of the iso 20121:2024 workshop scripts. You will have a list of questions and you will have noted which parts of the workshops you already do within the company.

    Week 10

    Repeat what you did in weeks 4-5 for workshop 4

    Now you have read 100 % of the iso 20121:2024 workshop scripts. You will have a list of questions and you will have noted which parts of the workshops you already do within the company.

    Week 11

    Repeat what you did in weeks 4-5 for workshop 4

    Now you have read 100 % of the iso 20121:2024 workshop scripts. You will have a list of questions and you will have noted which parts of the workshops you already do within the company.

    Week 12

    Prepare for the leadership meeting.

    Reflect on all the questions you have gathered get organized so you are ready to get the most out of the leadership meeting where you will ask your questions and listen to others giving you their insight and raising their own questions.

  • Weeks 13 to 16

    Week 13

    Attend ISO Leadership Meeting and take the time to reflect on/create actions from your learnings at the leadership meeting.

    Week 14

    With your growing ISO 20121:2024 knowledge, review workshop 1 agenda and decide how you want to run your first workshop.

    Remember you have already identified the areas you have information for so you can remove those parts from the workshop.

    Remember you can make the workshop as short or long as you want.

    Decide a time and date for your first workshop .

    Week 15

    Prepare for your first workshop- e.g. if your first workshop is 45 mins and you are doing the first xxx things on the agenda, tailor the slides to start and finish to match the agenda.

    Practice reading the PPT script, you have already noted the actions your company has already taken so make sure you refer to those in the script e.g. you already have a sustainability policy so in workshop 3 agenda point 6 where the script says ‘On this slide is a generic sustainability policy which we can spend 10 minutes to complete together’ .

    Replace that section to ‘here is our company sustainability policy’ and include that as a slide .

    Week 16

    Hold your first workshop, take actions from workshop.

    Week 23
    Prepare for the leadership meeting.
