Actions to address risks and opportunities

The procedure for actions to address risks and opportunities:

1.Through workshop with sustainability team an interactive exercise to ‘determine risks and opportunities that need to be addressed’ to:

  • Consider the issues referred to in ‘understanding the organisation and its context’

  • Consider the requirements referred to in 'understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties’

  • Ensure the event sustainability management system can achieve its intended outcomes

  • Prevent or reduce, undesired effects

  • Achieve continual improvement

2.Through workshop with sustainability team an interactive exercise to ‘plan actions to address risks and opportunities’ including the following questions:

  • How to integrate and implement actions into its event sustainability management system processes

  • How to evaluate the effectiveness of these actions

  • How to ensure operational adherence to and enhancement of the governing principles of sustainable development

3. This procedure will be implemented and reviewed annually during sustainability team workshop.
