LUNA Fest (short films)
LUNA Fest started back in 2000 as a travelling film festival that celebrated and showcased women in film. The festival itself is a fundraiser held by any host who wants to raise funds for local women's causes. The festival themselves have partnered up with Chicken & Egg Pictures who provide mentor-ship and critical financial support for female nonfiction film makers. Not only have these films gained recognition but they have also made a huge impact on social and economic issues.
Is there any way that your event can highlight gender inequality and make people more aware?
