Explore The Pavilion for People during UN Summit for the Future and New York Climate week

The Pavilion for People is an experiment in human engagement and what could be possible if everyone was invited to be part of the important conversations of our time- for example how can we collaborate to address climate change?

Please join us on 21st September 2024 9am - 12pm Central European Time to explore our shared life experience of cooking and what the impact of solar powered electric cooking could be?

Please note this registration form will ask you different questions about your background, don’t worry if some questions are not relevant to you!

This is an interactive virtual event.

In addition to the opportunity to learn from resources at your own pace you will also be invited to join sessions with speakers.

Throughout this event there could be networking opportunities where you could meet:

  • solar powered electric cooker users

  • policy makers

  • technology experts

  • finance experts

  • others passionate about exploring how human engagement can advance action to address climate change

  • Pavilions are areas where organisations can host events, showcase research, host informal discussions and more during events such as COP. Pavilions are traditionally physical areas and only available to people who can attend the event in person.

    The Pavilion for People is bringing the experience of attending a pavilion online. This will allow anyone, anywhere to join the conversation!

  • To enter The Pavilion for People for people follow the entry link. Once you are in the Pavilion you can explore areas to make commitments and enter the engagement forrest.

    Once you are in the engagement forest explore the SOLCO area. There will be a number of welcome videos. One of these will explain how to use the platform, including how to move between spaces, how to turn on your camera and microphone, and more.

    On the morning of 21st September, there will also be a tech assistance area which will have someone available to answer any questions and troubleshoot any issues you may be having.

  • The Pavilion for People seeks to promote engagement and conversation. Unlike other online events, the Pavilion gives you the opportunity to talk to people in real time and connect with people all around the world. 

    The Pavilion also encourages you to make commitments. The intention is that these will be seen by negotiators with the aim that they will hear all voices and that this will positively influence their work.
